TV....Film....Art....Imitating Life

Lately I've been in a weird head space. A confused head space, one full of questions, yes more questions than usual. A space full of thought, deep reflection, emptiness and wonderment.

Because of the film festival, the start of the television show season and so forth, these have added to my thinking. Perhaps because of the combination of where I stand in life at this very moment mixed with me watching these shows and the cheesy and not so cheesy, the sad and the happy, I've questioned to myself numerous times....Why can't real life be like that?

Everything in tv and film ends happily, or ends for a reason and seems happy, at least at that moment...none the less everything ends for a reason or at least a reason we can see right away. Of course things happen for reasons in reality, but sometimes it would be lovely to just say yes and have everything work out how you want it to, like a fairy tale. You end up with the partner of your dreams and you live happily ever after in the perfect little house on that perfect little beach, with the perfect little life and job and friends....

But what fun would that be? Really? Perfection is in the eye of the beholder...
